Discover Portugal

Business Delegation

May 11th - 16th, Porto

Invitation Letter

For delegates who require a visa to visit Portugal, the organising team is available to provide support throughout the process. This includes coordinating with the delegation's institutional and business partners to facilitate the issuance of invitation letters that can accompany a visa application, helping ensure the process is as straightforward as possible. The level of support available will depend on each delegate's individual circumstances and country of origin, but the team will do its best to point participants in the right direction and connect them with the relevant contacts. The priority is to ensure that administrative requirements do not become an obstacle, and that every confirmed delegate has the best possible conditions to make the trip and take full advantage of the programme.

Institutional Receptions

Delegates will be welcomed by a curated network of key players from Portugal's business and institutional ecosystem. From national business associations to regional chambers of commerce and municipal authorities, each reception is designed to offer direct access to the people and organisations that shape the Portuguese economic landscape. These meetings go beyond protocol - they are genuine opportunities to understand how business is done in Portugal, what opportunities are emerging, and how local structures can support international ventures. Whether you are exploring investment, partnerships or market entry, this institutional journey will give you the context and connections you need to move forward with confidence.

Curated Meetings

All delegates follow a shared programme of institutional visits, group sessions and networking events that form the backbone of the delegation experience. Within this common agenda, each participant also has a dedicated block of curated one-on-one or sector-specific meetings, scheduled around the group activities and tailored to their individual business profile. This structure ensures that everyone benefits from the collective energy and shared insights of the delegation, while still having dedicated time and space to pursue their own strategic objectives. The result is a programme that is both cohesive as a group experience and genuinely personal in its value for each participant.

The delegation's programme includes full participation in the SIM Conference - Startups & Investment Matching, one of Portugal's most significant events for entrepreneurship and innovation. Taking place on 14 and 15 May 2026 at the Alfândega do Porto, the conference brings together startups, investors and leaders from both the Portuguese and international entrepreneurial ecosystem, creating a dedicated space for collaboration, knowledge sharing and matchmaking between entrepreneurs and investors. In its 2025 edition alone, the event attracted 3,500 participants, 400 startups and 230 investors across nearly 100 sessions. This is a rare opportunity to step inside Portugal's most dynamic startup and investment gathering, access live pitches, attend curated panels and connect with the key players shaping the future of the European entrepreneurship landscape - all as part of a structured and supported programme.

One programme. One week. One agenda built around you.
